Did some work on the Sarah June Remix EP tonight coming up with a proposed track order & doing some photos for possible art. Sent the ideas off to Sarah to see what will happen. It’ll be ready soon kids.
I have seen in the past the “swap audio” option on YouTube. Of course it doesn’t work anything like I anticipated (meaning I can’t upload new audio, I just have to chose from their catalog of audio). So here’s the feedback video & the audio is because there is something wrong with the camera.

I talked to Brian McKenzie a bit about the new Remora record & whether or not I should get it mastered & by who. His general review was if I want it mastered for less than $500, I’m just as well off doing it myself; but if I think about all of the really great records that there are, very few where there’s only two guys working on it as far as recording, mixing, & mastering. I’m torn. How much money do I want to sink into it knowing that these days I might sell 250 copies if I’m lucky? I miss the 1990s where an indie band could sell 10 discs at almost every show & even obscure unsigned touring bands needed to press 2500 copies.
I got a CD-R in the mail with no note. I assumed it was a demo, but when I looked at the liner notes it was a plunderphonic record & the samples it was built from were Coldplay, Interpol, Linkin Park, The Killers, & Remora. Somebody thinks more highly of me than I think of myself….

we had our next rekkid mastered for under 500 and it was way better than if james did it and overall better than it sounded without mastering by a long shot the plumerai one that is not the goddakk
I think I’ve gotten about six or seven records mastered at the $300 price point & while they are better than if nothing had been done at all, I’m not convinced they’re better than since I started mastering stuff myself a few years ago.
I assumed you’d run your own mastering on the new Goddakk, get me the files in an uncompressed format & I’ll put a little Silber polish on it….
